Flowers Now

I was scrolling through my phone and my finger miraculously landed on this picture. I know I probably posted a few weeks ago on Thanksgiving a snippet of the things I was thankful for. Well, three of them are right here in this picture. You see my Daddy was my best friend (outside of Jesus) before I got married. He made sure my hair was done, took me to visit the college I attended, he visited me while I was in school. I remember crying the first time he and my baby brother pulled off campus the first day they moved me into my dorm room. Even when he would visit, I still shed tears at times, not because I didn't like school, but I missed my family, too. Once you get married, you and your spouse become one. So about 15 years ago, my husband became my best friend. Every since I was a little girl, Daddy just knew when something was wrong with me, he could sense it in my voice. When I was selected as star student, my senior year in high school, I chose my star teacher to be my Dadd...

Freedom in the Sacrifice

Jesus sacrificed His life so that we could LIVE. Live in freedom and walk in His glory here on earth. God sent His Son to pay the price for our sins. The shedding of His blood made us free and wiped our slate clean. He declares in 1John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." The Sacrifice John 3:16-17 proclaims, 16   For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  17   For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Therefore, we should walk in victory and know that we are purified. This gift should make us want to  know  Jesus more,  imulate  Jesus,  walk  and  talk  like Jesus. Why is it that we don't walk in the victory that we have been given? There could be various reasons, one may...

Sufficient Grace

Lord, We thank you for your grace today. It is sufficient to sustain us for every and anything that is brought before us. We didn't earn it, but we are so glad you saw fit to give us grace. Without it, we wouldn't be able to make it. We praise you today and simply say "Thank You" for Your great grace! In Jesus' Name, -With Grace, LaKenya

Faith

As long as there is hope, I have faith Lord that you can heal the sick. I speak to the dry bones and command them to be restored. Praying for you Daddy! Love, Nannie

Seek Peace!

Lord, teach us to live in tranquility. There is no greater feeling. Even in the midst of persecution, suffering, turmoil, God is the answer to seeking peace through it all.  Dear Lord , We thank You for who You are and for seeing fit to use us to do your work. Like Nehemiah, we are assigned to rebuild the walls. Regardless of the opposition or whomever may not be on our team, we will rely and trust that you will build our team with those who are willing to help construct something bigger and better than what was there originally. Actually, there are dreams and visions that may not have been realized by anyone previous, but you have bestowed that responsibility unto us and we will take it and run with it. Thank you in advance for the strength we need to accomplish the task.  Whatever that is in us that is not of You, we cast it out now, in Jesus' Name . We all fall short and where we do, we look to you to help teach and correct us to do it the right way. If we ...
